The Christian Children’s Home of Ohio (CCHO) and the Mid-Ohio Corvette Club (MOCC) will once again be hosting, “Cruisin’ for the Kids” on Saturday, August 14, 2021. This will be the 12 th year that CCHO and MOCC have joined to present a fun day for the kids and the staff of the CCHO facility.

The members of MOCC are already working to prepare for this special event which we know means so much to all. Our club is always looking for ways to enhance and improve the event for the kids in residence, the staff, and all those who wish to attend. We are currently planning a wonderful lunch of Shreve chicken with all the “fixin’s,” our traditional car show in which the resident children are the judges, music provided by our favorite DJ, basket auctions prepared by our members for the benefit of CCHO, and safe but fun “race track thrill rides” for the children in our fast and beautiful Corvettes.

Corvettes from all generations will be on hand as hundreds of Corvette aficionados begin the day with a continental breakfast of pastries & coffee at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. From breakfast at the Fairgrounds, the cars will proceed on a pre-planned route through the Wayne County countryside that is both fun and scenic, then will end up at the grounds of CCHO.

Last year, despite all that was going on in the world around us, we had a great event with great sponsors and donations. This enabled CCHO to make much needed improvements to their already outstanding facilities and services. But in many ways, the world has not changed so much, and your help remains desperately needed. To all those who contributed so generously last year, we say a resounding “THANK YOU.” We trust that the members of MOCC may call upon you for your thoughtful donation of services or funds between now and the date of our event. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL! All donations are very much appreciated by the kids, the staff, and the hard-working members of MOCC.
